Don’t take what you don’t own

I watched a white-haired gentleman stop in the middle of Poland Road at 11 a.m. on April 7, back up a considerable distance, and put my black trash can into the back of his white pickup truck. By the time I realized what was happening and got outside, he had already driven off.

Although I cannot imagine how he could have mistaken that trash can for his own (considering it was in front of my house), I do wish to have it returned. I assume he will remember where he took it from. And if he is unable to return it, he could come by again on trash day for the cover that goes with it, as it is useless to me.

My anger is certainly not over losing a $10 trash can. It is the principle. Simply said: if something doesn’t below to you, don’t touch it.
