PARIS – The Board of Directors of Oxford Hills Technical School is poised to name a new director April 15.
The appointee will succeed David Mason, who is retiring this year.
Board member Tom Moore said one candidate has given tentative acceptance to become head of the school, pending successful contract negotiations. The appointment would be made at the board meeting next week, he said.
Board chairman Jerry Wiley was not available for comment.
The school is part of Oxford Hills School District, whose board is searching for a superintendent to succeed Mark Eastman, who is retiring June 30 after 15 years at the helm. He is 64. The search committee has narrowed the field of candidates from nine to four.
“The first round (of interviews) has been completed,” board Chairman Ron Kugell said. The second round is expected to be completed this week and a recommendation will be made in May, he said.
