Terry will team up with pianist at live recorded jazz concert


BRUNSWICK – Clarinetist Brad Terry of Bath and pianist Larry Garland of Portsmouth, N.H., will perform live at a recorded concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Maine Sound Stage in Brunswick.

Studio audience members will take home a commemorative audio CD of the performance, and they will also be invited to attend the Meet Brad & Larry reception after the performance, all included in their ticket price.

Terry has played with scores of distinguished jazzmen, notably Dizzy Gillespie, Lenny Breau, Buck Clayton, Buddy Tate, Steve Swallow, and Roger Kellaway and Red Mitchell. He frequently performs in Europe, especially in Poland, where he is one half of The Jazz Duo, the other half occupied by Polish pianist Joachim Mencel.

Garland has been performing in Portsmouth, N.H., at The Press Room for more than 25 years. He started playing professionally while n the Army in the ’50s. His Tuesday night sessions at The Press Room give young musicians a chance to jam with experienced players and learn from the best.
