BATH – Thelma Daisey Curtis, 91, of Bath, formerly of Wilton, died late Thursday evening at The Plant Memorial Home in Bath. She previously had resided in her own home in Skowhegan until February of this year, when she moved to be nearer her son.

She was born on Aug. 24, 1914, in Wilton, where she spent her childhood and graduated from Wilton Academy.

In 1933, she married Mabra Packard, and they divorced in 1956.

In 1965, she married Harold Curtis of Skowhegan. He died in 1978.

Thelma enjoyed maintaining her lovely lawns, gardens, and amazing raspberry patch in Skowhegan, and took great pride in mowing her own lawns through 2005.

She also enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and the company of her lap kitty, “Kit.”

She is survived by three children, son, Phillip Packard and his wife, Nancy (Cates) of Arrowsic Island, son, James Packard and his wife, Bernice (Gordon) of Dixfield, and daughter Kathy (Curtis) Chagnon and her husband, Arthur, of Maryland; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Lewis Packard, in 2003.
