Theresa M. Sullivan


1917 – 2014

WEST PARIS — Theresa M. Sullivan, 97, formerly of Holyoke Avenue in Rumford, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Ledgeview Living Center, following a brief illness.

She was born in Rumford on Aug. 2, 1917, a daughter of Salvatore and Philomena (Albina) Sullivan. Theresa was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School. She was employed for over 30 years at Oxford Paper Co.

Theresa was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. She was a lifelong member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Theresa loved cooking for family, friends and neighbors, and was an avid golfer and skier.

Surviving are several generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents; four sisters, Rose DeMascio, Annie Palermo, Eva McPhee and Catherine Reardon; and six brothers, Frank Sullivan, John Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, Salvatore “Tuddie” Sullivan, Fred “Bo-Bo” Sullivan and James Sullivan.
