LIVERMORE FALLS — Thomas Edward Hersey, “Tom,” 78, of Livermore Falls died of natural causes at his home in Livermore Falls on Thursday, May 5.
He was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Lewiston, the eldest son of Ernest E. and Sadie W. (Washburn) Hersey. He was a graduate of Leavitt Institute and was a proud U.S. Army veteran.
For more than 35 years, he was employed at IP until his retirement in 1999.
He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 320.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Georgia (Lamb) of Livermore Falls; three daughters, Alicia Brown and her husband, Danny, of Fayette and their children, Kayla and Willie, Celeste LeBlond and her husband, Lawrence and their son, Allan-Michael Thomas Flagg and Dolores Schudrowitz and her husband, Casimir and their sons, Kyle and Quinlan; five sisters, Marilyn, Frances, Blanche, Connie and Elaine; and three brothers, William, Harold and Norman.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Donald and Richard; three sisters: Eloise, Lois and Dorothy; and his grandson, Dwight A. Flagg.
