The Lomax, above, will return to She Doesn’t Like Guthries with special guest Roy Davis at 9 p.m. Friday, April 9. Named after the legendary John and Alan Lomax of Southern traditional American music fame, The Lomax sounds “a little bit cowboy, a bit folksy, a tad bluesy,” according to the Portland Phoenix. Over a Cardboard Sea of Portland, a nostalgia act playing American popular song from 1890 to 1939, and Good Kids Sprouting Horns of Bangor, a blend of acoustic guitar, keyboard and drums, will perform Saturday, April 10, at the restaurant/cafe at 115 Middle St., Lewiston. Shows start at 9 p.m. No cover. For more information, call 376-3344 or visit myspace.com/guthriesplace.
