RUMFORD — No one was hurt late Monday morning in a chain-reaction crash on on Falls Hill.
Rumford police Cpl. Doug Maifeld said Michael Cote, 56, of Waldo Street, Rumford, stopped his vehicle at the foot of Falls Hill and signaled to turn left. Behind him was Joan Pellerin, 72, of Riverside Avenue, Mexico, who also stopped.
Garnold Anderson, 70, of Spruce Street, Rumford, failed to see Pellerin stop and ran into the back of her 2006 Ford Taurus sedan. Pellerin’s car then hit Cote’s 1994 Buick.
No one was hurt and all were wearing safety belts during the 11:02 a.m. accident.
Pellerin’s sedan sustained about $2,000 damage; Anderson’s 1995 Nissan four-door sedan about $1,000; and Cote’s sedan minor damage .
Maifeld said a Rumford Fire Department engine and crew, along with Med-Care Ambulance Service, also responded to the call.
