Three musicians team up to help Naples library

HARRISON— Veteran performer and songwriter Heather Pierson will perform Saturday, June 5, at a concert benefiting the Naples Public Library.

The 7:30 p.m. performance at Deertrees Theatre will feature many selections from her new solo recording slated for release later this year, as well as several new compositions and renditions.

Also performing will be Rusty Wiltjer and Nate Towne.

Pierson is known for her signature style of jazz-tinged, neo-classical piano compositions, folk-infused ballads, world-beat percussion and vocals. In a career that has spanned two decades, she has shared the stage with rock and folk artists, sung in sacred rituals and ceremonies across the United States and produced four solo recordings.

Wiltjer, owner of Wiltjer Pottery in Waterford, has been a professional drummer for 40 years, playing handmade, decorated drums. Towne is a veteran singer-songwriter based in western Maine who has shared the stage with such artists as John Gorka.

Tickets are $20. They may be purchased at the library, Morning Dew Natural Foods in Bridgton and Books N Things in Norway. For more information, call 693-6841 or visit
