BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Hospital Guild Thrift Shop will host a springtime grand re-opening at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19. The thrift shop is located on Main Street, adjacent to Reny’s and across the street from TD Bank.
The shop will be closed Monday through Thursday of that week in preparation for the event.
Although the guild thrift shop has been open during its construction project to enlarge the shop, the new floor plan, including an enlarged selling area and new “boutique” room of upscale items, will be filled with spring and summer merchandise.
The shop is run solely by guild volunteers and managed by volunteer Emily Hammerle. Prices are modest and all items are donated. Thrift shop volunteers take pride in the quality of their merchandise.
All funds raised through the sales are used to support Bridgton Hospital and the purchase of patient-related capital equipment. Starting on March 19, the thrift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday.
