King Angus set the wheels in

King Angus set the wheels in motion for this devastating project long before he ever left the governor's office. He has called in all his favors including the puppet that governs this state today. This shows me how corrupt this once great state is. King Angus and his sidekick will make millions on this travesty. The State of Maine will lose it's appeal as a vacationland and the campowners of Roxbury Pond will see their property values decrease and their beautiful, tranquil, pristine pond will be destroyed. Shame on you voters of the town of Roxbury you sold your souls to the devil!

I agree with Mr. Montgomery.

I agree with Mr. Montgomery. Succeed from the the town of Roxbury. They do virtually nothing for the Roxbury Pond camp owners. Let's see how they do without our tax money. I would think Andover would welcome us with open arms especially since their biggest taxpayer, Andover Wood Products, is closing their doors. We camp owners were not allowed to vote on these wind monstrocities, yet we are the one's who will lose our peace & quiet, our wildlife, the ecology of the lake and possibly our health. The whole voting process was done in a very underhanded way, on a cold January evening. Most of the Summer resident's that are registered to vote in Roxbury, were gone for the Winter. Even at that, the vote was very, very close. All we were asking in the petition was to conduct another vote while these residents are here. Two of the selectmen voted to deny that vote. One is not a native and lives in an area that will never hear the noise or see these giant eyesores. The other one is the president of the local ATV club and I woulkdn't be the least bit surprised if they come up with a HUGE anonymous donation. This is small town politics at it's worse. I truly believe that the town of Roxbury and their selectmen will be sued and held accountable just as they're doing in Mars Hill. I'd like to say that we'll have the last laugh but unfortunately it will be too late for our beautiful pond and it's majestic mountain range.

Mac Great article, however

Mac
Great article, however it should be noted that Forest Lodge is the former home of Maine author Louise Dickinson Rich. "We Took to the Woods", "My Neck of the Woods" and other stories of her every day life living in her rustic cabin on the Rapid River were written there in the early '40's. Thank you Aldro for allowing our vets to enjoy this little piece of heaven. Louise would be proud!

Mac Ernest, how can you call

Mac
Ernest, how can you call the proposed wind towers "non-polluting, clean energy? Have you seen the pictures of the devastation and destruction caused at the Kibbie Mountain Project? The blasting of these ridges will destroy the natural habitat of all wildlife including the majestic bald eagles that fly over that ridge every day. The watershed will be destroyed and will have devastating effects not only for the wildlife but it will raise the level of phosphates and destroy Roxbury Pond. Go ahead and call me a NIMBY but the biggest NIMBY of all is Angus King. King Angus lives on the coast of Maine, where the prevailing winds blow 24/7...but of course that's in his backyard!
