The laws are in place - it's

The laws are in place - it's the kids and irresponsible adults who refuse to follow them. I too have no sympathy for that girl either.

Drinking, Driving and Texting

How many times does this have to happen until teens and young people get it through their heads that drinking, driving and texting is illegal? Sad to say but the driver needs to get the book thrown at her - Under 18, drinking, driving, texting AND leaving the scene!!!And the surviving passenger too needs to be charged also. Plus how about the ones who furnished the alcohol to them! NO COMMON SENSE!
Our condolences to the families on the 2 who were killed.

Forgetting how to drive

Accidents happened because "motorists forgot the lessons from the previous month" ??? When we lived in Maine, we would drive cautiously ALL WINTER LONG, because you knew you would get snow! People get overconfident and don't drive defensively. I guess there isn't much common sense out there with some drivers anymore. And Maine is not the only state this happens in. In a time when some people don't pay attention to traffic laws - ie - yield signs, traffic lights, stop signs, they need to drive more cautiously and defensively ALL YEAR. It scares me sometimes to think we have to be driving out there with lots of irresponsible people.

Barking Dogs

When we lives in Wales, there was a neighbor who had several dogs in her kennel. The dogs barked all night and day! But town officials wouldn't do anything!!!! She was so rude and uncaring. We moved from there 11 years ago. We will never move to a place near a kennel or a place with several dogs. We have dogs, and we are considerate of our neighbors. I understand that dogs do bark...it's their own way of communicating. But our know that they will be stopped if it gets out of hand.
Perron needs to have her dogs trained and not only for the sleds. I feel for the Lucas' - I hope the courts do the right thing for them.

Service dogs

Service dogs are allowed anywhere a ADA person goes. If they are not allowed to accompany the person they protect, then a call to the ADA will remedy that. The business/person will be fined. Service animals are very well trained, and no one can refuse you to bring her/him in with you. Visit ADA's website. This article explains everything. http://www.ada.gov/svcabrs3.pdf
