Why target just Mainecare recipients? I'd go a step further - deny health benefits to all smokers with a taxpayer funded health plan. That would include everyone covered by Maine State Employee Health Insurance plans.
The posters who have been endlessly and bitterly railing against this change are a lot of the reason I will not be getting verified and making my personal information public. Seriously, if you don't like the policy change, instead of spending hours posting about how you are going to leave why not just GO AWAY ALREADY. You are sounding more demented all the time.
When I registered here, the name I wanted was taken, I had to have something different and unique in order to post. My real name is very common, what if someone with the same name as mine starts posting comments that people find outrageous or offensive? What is my recourse to avoid fallout from the reading public who think the poster is me; how do I protect my own name?
This is just a bad idea all around.
