Such negativity, at least he is trying. Give the man a chance. I think he will accomplish a lot in the next four years. I would love to see the Sate of Maine flourish, have decent paying jobs and not be a haven for the welfare flock. Maine needs jobs with good good pay, benefits and opportunity for all it's residents. They need hope for a better future. Hopefully the governor will deliver on that promise.
Paul Lepage is a successful man. As Mayor of Waterville he lowered taxes and increased their rainy day fund from 1 million to 10 million . Oh , but I forgot liberals hate those who have been successful. They would rather have a girly man like Baldy to run the state who tosses out welfare bennies like candy and shafts the common working man. Lets face it the workers of Maine are supporting the generational welfare slackers. To me Paul Lepage is a real man. If Lepage succeeds in putting a cap of the collection of lifetime welfare benefits and does a fair job of balancing the budget then I say a job well done.If he irks the liberals then I know he is on the right path.
I presented facts.I am not questioning that You receive good health care but not all VA clinics and hospitals are the same.Abc did an investigation into the VA health care and found "disastrous management and deficient care "at 162 VA facilities throughout the US." Filthy bathrooms, dirty linen mixed in with clean, examining tables with dried blood and equipment that was used to sterilize instruments broken down. "Taken from the truth. There In 2010 the Miami VA patients had colonoscopies with unclean equipment. "It was estimated that 2400 patients had the procedure done, so far 3 patients contracted HIV, 7 patients contracted Hep C and one hep b." This also happened in Tenn and and Augusta Ga. in 2009. Do some research for yourself if you don't believe me. In June 2010 1,800 patients in the St Louis had dental work with unclean equipment and are being tested for various diseases. Taken from the war report. Government run health care at it's best. No thank you I want the government out of my life.
I agree with you Ronald 100%. The eventual goal with this plan is single payer. If employers opt to pay the fine which is cheaper for them vs providing insurance. Employees will have to go to the government for their health care. The left is banking on this happening. In a video of Obama in 2009 Obama states that Universal Health care is the eventual goal. Quote from Obama "But I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employee coverage immediately" "There is going to be potentially some transition process"I happen to be a proponent of single payer universal health care pan" Words straight out of Obama's mouth. Obama care will stop capital from the productive health care economy and will stifle research, innovation and development. Just what we need people dying because of a government run health care program.
The seniors will be hardest hit by this as some hospitals and doctors have already dissed the government medicare system. Mayo clinic in Arizona has already decided to stop taking medicare patients as Mayo lost 840 million last year by treating medicare patients. More doctors will be opting out as of March 1st medicare reimbursement to doctors will be cut by 21% and the cuts will keep on coming. How can a doctors practice survive when patient care exceeds revenue.
As for the CBO numbers on Obama care. The numbers are only as good as what they were fed by the democrats and the CBO released new numbers May of 210, 115 billion more in spending. According to the CBO 1.1 trillion will be diverted from medicare to pay for Obama care and taxes will be increased on the American people by over 1 trillion dollars. The CBO also stated that insurance prices would rise by 10-13% and as as of 2019, 23 million people would still be un-insured. These figures taken from the weekly standard.
Congress needs to do the job we sent them to do. Repeal this mess of a bill and start over,
