If Mr. Folsom went after Mr.

If Mr. Folsom went after Mr. Savage from behind, how did he punch him in the face? From what I understand, both of the Savages know how to complain, threaten and other interesting things that should be obvious to their reputations. There are other options than Savages.

I know this is a start for

I know this is a start for students to attempt to understand what life in a wheelchair may be like, but knowing they can get up and walk away from the chair is a long way off. I have been in a chair for seven years, now with an amputation. Recreation takes a back seat to surviving. There are more basic and important things than recreation that need to be considered. Try crossing a street without getting hit by a speeding car or being yelled at by the driver; try going into a store and having a clerk talk to someone behind you who may or may not be with you, since if you are in a wheelchair, you must not be able to understand or communicate; try finding places that really are wheelchair accessible, including bathrooms; try finding parking spaces that allow you to get into or out of a wheelchair van with a ramp or a lift. The list could be infinite. It can be pretty difficult to even think about recreation when functioning in a "walking world" where you don't fit in challenges every emotion every day.

I totally agree with you. We

I totally agree with you. We are a mobile society. If you don't like it here, move out. Don't call your neighbors or anyone else idiots and not expect to just have everyone shut up and take it. I'm sorry that you have seizures, but that doesn't give you the right to be a jerk. Sorry---just to be clear, I totally agree with Nancy1 only.

I think that the public

I think that the public needs to be educated about service dogs and the correct way to approach or not approach, ask questions, etc. I have found that the people who own the dogs are the experts and the teachers. However, I take offense to the accusations that there are so many idiots in Maine that someone is looking to move. I say,"By all means, go, and make sure that you keep a count of how many people bother you in any other state". That generalization is as ignorant as people who let their kids fall all over a support animal. If your dog poops and it never even hits the ground, which I find questionable unless you tie a bag under her tail, then you obviously are a trainer and a teacher. Teach. Teach. Teach. Don't call people in Maine idiots and want to move to where there are no idiots....with that attitude, you may be the local idiot in your new state. I am extremely understanding about support animals and how important they are to saving lives....I have one. I hear your anger and frustration, but name-calling isn't going to solve your problems. Use your voice, speak your rights, teach the "idiots" not to be idiots, call for help in stores if you need to, call 911 if you need to...those are all options. Or leave the idiots in Maine and go find some more somewhere else. That's not helping you or anyone else in your position. I really do wish you luck, but I do hope that you will let some common sense and intelligence over-ride your anger and frustration wherever you live.
