Give it to CLT

From someone who uses the building on a bi-weekly basis, that place is a dump. If CLT wants it, then let them have it for $1 and save the money from heating and tearing it down. The problem we will be right back to though is that CLT can't afford the upkeep on a building like that, and the city will be called upon to take care of it again.

Lordy

Alrighty K0NPHL1C7, look outside. See up in the sky, there may be a few raindrops, but aside from that nothing is falling. The casino will get built, hopefully run successfully, and the sky still won't be falling. This is one business in an area that needs any business that it can get. It's not "Mini-Vegas" or the spawning of "Paki-Marts".

How bout we give change a try for a bit, and if it's not working adjust then. It's what we have to do with LePage, so why not the casino?

The foundation isn't there in Lewiston either...

Really all that Lewiston has to offer for a Casino is an old building, that is in serious need of repair. The infrastructure that you say Lewiston has really stops at the Fire/Police services, as the roads around that section of the mill and surrounding streets are horrible. During any rush hour times, that area of the bridge is backed up severely in all directions (on the flip side so is any part of Oxford when OPS lets out), so really we are looking at rehabbing an area that should be torn down and increasing traffic in an area that can't support it. While Lewiston could use the jobs and revenue that a Casino could bring, Oxford could use it more, as there are other opportunities that can come to Lewiston, but what ever goes out to Oxford?

Bates

Pineland's a good thought, but the pool's too small. I'd bet that you'll start seeing swim teams use the Bates pool, or even possibly the schools cutting the swim teams entirely.
