James was terminated a while ago from his duties with the Town, if I remember correctly was because of things going on with the Fire Department. Shiloh Ring is in charge of Code Enforcement anyways. Seems like the Fire Deptartment has been lossing people left and right, maybe time for that managment to go. I know James, not very well but has always been a honest hard working person, I think maybe the upers in the Fire Department were getting nervous James would take their job...This young person is getting the raw end of the deal and this needs to be looked into. I applaud the Selectmen for overturning the decison. I disagree with appealing the laws on buidlngs, I think it is important to have codes to ensure the safety of others who may be unaware of hazards.
Farmington Fire Helped? I did not read anywhere that Jay Helped arent they closer then Dixfield or Farmington??? That Doesnt really make sense...And for as far as the flash point quote...WOW...that scares me a little...But any who nice work everyone that helped!!!
Also something that I didnt see in this article but heard that the Jay Fire Dept. Chief Shink resigned a few days prior to this hearing....and from what I can understand is all of the probelms Ruth had with the Building Inspector came from the Fire Dept. Something smells fishy...
I Guess I dont get it...I must be missing something as well. Also the Town cannot eliminate position because the state requires towns with over 2000 in population to have a Buidling Inspector. Also they have already created the position and have had it going for a year now with no problems. Only thing I could see would to have the Code Enforcement Officer take on the responsibility as Buidling Inspector like most towns do if we wanted to save money. Mama Marden really messed this one up looks like she had a personal problem with the individual. Wonder whats going to happen next???
