Thanks for belly laugh this morning. Woooo-oooooooo-oooooo....look out for the Bigfoot! Does remind me of the 'Turner Beast'. I couldn't believe that some people couldn't see it was a common dog. I mean, really. Pretty soon they're going to find a dead cat and claim it's a Martian. What's going on in Turner anyway? Too many ammonia fumes from the chicken farms?

No. Normal people with normal personalities do not go around trying to punch people over an accident. Get it? "A-c-c-i-d-e-n-t. The driver didn't hit the kid on purpose. I don't know what kind of sociopaths raised you, but in civilized society there's no punching over accidents.

No way a pedestrian should get a walk signal while any light is green in an intersection. That's just common sense. But nowhere in L/A do the traffic lights make sense. That's why it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get across town in any direction.
Regarding this incident, I have to say I've seen many, many parents either not minding the kids walking with them, or pushing their baby carriages way out in front of them like magic wands to part the sea of traffic, either against lights or in situations where it's clearly not entirely safe to cross. The father attempting to attack the driver is 100% unacceptable. Just shows you what kind of person the father is.

And so, when Washington comes to see Rumford's "way of life" that's being endangered, they're going to see what? A depressing, run-down little area that nobody has much cared about for decades. That nobody has effectively represented for decades. That's not going to a point in Rumford's favor.
Still, everyone in the U.S. has got to start caring that we've bled out most of our jobs. We have to care way beyond paper mills to every remaining industry we have. Any industry that is currently paying companies or consultants outside the U.S. to perform any kind of labor or provide any kind of service is robbing the U.S. economy. And what are we doing about it? Nothing. No U.S. company is made to pay a penalty of any kind for laying off its employees, stopping contracts with U.S. vendors, to employ foreigners and buy foreign goods instead. Our jobs are gone, we can't even buy U.S.-made goods anymore, and the companies pat themselves on the back for making themselves and their stockholders just a little bit richer each year.
This is why we should make sure we don't do one more thing to help any U.S. company richer if it employs foreign workers or buys foreign materials.

Yeah, the system is unbalanced, but just because others have escaped punishment doesn't mean this loony tune should too.
