So much for Governor LePage's vow not to talk to the newspapers.
Thanks for your comment Shirley and hopefully I can help. I am Lisa's husband and I am so grateful for the Sun Journals' coverage, unfortunately the papers space is limited and everything wasn't able to be listed. You are correct with your comment in renewing faith in mankind, although I wasn't there all the time both days I can tell you it is very moving to see all the people come together in times of need, to witness the donation process and hear the stories everyone tells. One little boy emptied and donated his own toy box because he knew there where a lot of kids who lost theirs and their toys, it was just heart warming. It takes a lot of caring people to fill a 53 foot tractor trailer and I will try to list some of the items for you. Bottled water, non perishable foods, toys, blankets, beds, furniture, microwaves, TVs, clothes of all sizes, pet food, pet treats, cleaning supplies, paper goods, brooms, shovels, tools and the list goes on and on. Thank you to all who made this such a huge success!!
