Don't you find it interesting that a man who was eager to marry a divorced woman with five kids, who beat his own kids, and took his frustration out on his own boys so much so that they entered military service as soon as they legally could and would have faced death than live with him and his wife?. Isn't it interesting that a man who treated his wife's children like his own once his two boys were out of her house, should find himself buried in a plot in a cemetary that no one visits? Isn't it interesting that the woman and her children he sold his boys out for, now lives in Florida, and her children are scattered throughout New England, with nothing to hold them to him? Isn't it interesting that in the town where all this took place, there is no physical evidence of his name ever having been there? Isn't it interesting that neither of his sons ever returned to his hometown to live? Isn't it interesting that both of his sons had to learn how to live in a family like human beings, from someone other than their father and stepmother? Isn't it interesting that both his blood relative sons are scared of women? Isn't it interesting that both of them had trouble with letting their emotions show so that their significant others never knew the boys loved them? Just goes to show you the power of a woman, and a nasty unclean one at that.
I have recently been admonished by the administrator for what she named an inappropriate comment. Maybe the comment was inappropriate, and maybe not, but you had to be there I guess to really appreciate the meaning of the comment and the person involved. This individual was in a position of power and had absolute control over two young boys who were vulnerable, and had just lost their mother. True, it was over 50 years ago, and life is different now than it was then. However child abuse never ends for the victims.
It is odd that there was no mention of her husband's two sons, who were abused. I regret that I was not able to return and get my brother out of that environment. Believe it or not, there are still people who remember that abuse

I grew up in Brettuns and the very best place to swim 47 years ago was Brettun's Pond. The water was clear and cool. The beach next to Lakeside Cemetary was sandy and a nice place to soak up the sun. The girls from Livermore Falls always came down and flirted with us local boys, and teased us. The pond was a great place to cool down after a day of playing baseball or working at a local farm or henhouse.
Robert, I left Maine 47 years ago with a high school diploma, because of the lack of job opportunities, and I didn't have any money for college. I have since retired from two careers, and have a degree, yet nothing has changed in Maine. There are still dead end jobs, and unless you have money, no college opportunities.
Actually the one Tatoo I could see wasn't offensive to me, and after all it is her body. I myself do not have any tatoos, but again since I don't have to pay for one, nor was I asked if I liked it or not, it is really none of my business. If you don't like her tatoo, or any tatoo for that matter, and you are not involved with the person displaying the tatoo, I would suggest that you don't look at it. My how that brings back memories. I can remember our group of kids being the first to enter the water after the ice left. I myself went in on April 28, 1963, the previous record was April 30, 1962 held by two of the older guys.

From 1963 onward to today, my profession required that I be armed with a firearm, and know how to safely use it. I have undergone numerous background checks to determine my suitability. A criminal who desires to own a firearm, or any other weapon, can easily obtain them without having to bother with a short trip to Maine, NH, Vermont or even Canada. Back in the day as they say, it was not uncommon for a college student to attend during the day, and seek a night time job, or vice versa. None of us were there, but I will say this to the person who thinks the officer drove too fast. I hope you never need a cop fast, when some thug has your family at gunpoint, or when your sife and children are home alone and some person of questionable moral character decides to hold your family hostage and the officer is trying to come to your aid, but some bone head is blocking traffic, and the officer can't get around him. As for the restriction of a person under 30 not being alowed to be a police officer, well usually the young ones are in pretty good physical shape, and now days, the new cops have to pass a physical agility test in order to become cops. I can't speak for Togus, however, there are VA Medical Centers that I can vouch for. If you have a complaint, take it to customer service, at the VA. The VA is doing it's level best to improve service and care. If you don't feel that you have been treated fairly, or in a timely manner, don't sit and whine about it, take action, and make your complaints known to someone who can help. That snotty nosed clerk who gave you grief has a boss, and the boss has a boss. and so on. The VA was chartered to serve the veteran. Cursing and making an ass of yourself doesn't help resolve the problem. The VFW's American Legions, and Vietnam Veterans of America also have service representatives who will help you resolve problems. At the end of the day, the problem will be resolved, and if not the offices of Maine's Senators would be very interested.

From 1963 onward to today, my profession required that I be armed with a firearm, and know how to safely use it. I have undergone numerous background checks to determine my suitability. A criminal who desires to own a firearm, or any other weapon, can easily obtain them without having to bother with a short trip to Maine, NH, Vermont or even Canada. My dear friend, I don't agree with the actions that caused our president to be elected, but since he is the president, I wish he would exercise a different attitude. As to the terrorists, I do not want them in the United States, to be tried under the same rules that are used to judge our criminals. You say I have no respect for the present President? I disagree with him, or is that allowed? Not once did I show him disrespect. I believed last November that change was needed. I do not know what if any torture methods were used to interrogate those individuals, however when they killed innocent people, they gave up their right to be treated as criminals, and became war criminals. Back in the day as they say, it was not uncommon for a college student to attend during the day, and seek a night time job, or vice versa. There are many sacrifices one has to make to better themselves, without having to rely on someone else to pay for your future. I hope you never need a cop fast, when some thug has your family at gunpoint, or when your sife and children are home alone and some person of questionable moral character decides to hold your family hostage and the officer is trying to come to your aid, but some bone head is blocking traffic, and the officer can't get around him. As for the restriction of a person under 30 not being alowed to be a police officer, well usually the young ones are in pretty good physical shape, and now days, the new cops have to pass a physical agility test in order to become cops. Now days a cop is not dragged in off the street, and a badge slapped on him given a gun and told to go out and play cops and robbers. For the most part, they are highly trained, and also are aware of not having tunnel vision, or adrenal highs. I wasn't there, but the officer was doing the job you as taxpayers, pay him to do, thank goodness he wasn't seriously hurt.

I can't speak for Togus, however, there are VA Medical Centers that I can vouch for. If you have a complaint, take it to customer service, at the VA. The VA is doing it's level best to improve service and care. If you don't feel that you have been treated fairly, or in a timely manner, don't sit and whine about it, take action, and make your complaints known to someone who can help. That snotty nosed clerk who gave you grief has a boss, and the boss has a boss. and so on. The VA was chartered to serve the veteran. Cursing and making an ass of yourself doesn't help resolve the problem. The VFW's American Legions, and Vietnam Veterans of America also have service representatives who will help you resolve problems. At the end of the day, the problem will be resolved, and if not the offices of Maine's Senators would be very interested.
