I don't know which is more ridiculous, the fact that a rinky-dink little town without it's own zip code is so flustered over losing a couple of "unused" drop boxes (that is what the postal person said, they are removing unused drop boxes) or the idea that the US Postal Service thinks it will save money by taking them. Perhaps someone should ask the honchos at the USPS how much they spend on those huge banners that they put on the front of every post office with new ones appearing regularly or how much they spend on tv advertising...Hello, postal department, you are practically a monopoly, why do you even need to advertise? Doesn't everyone have to use the post office at some point? Don't we know they are there? Would we not we miss them if they were gone, I know I would greatly miss my daily collection of "junk mail" from my mailbox...NOT!
