I had to give a UA in order to get my job and my employer has a random UA policy. I have to abide by this in order to get my money. This should be done for anyone and everyone that applies for any assistance. When you apply, you take a UA. Then you are put into a computerized system that randomly picks a percentage of people that are getting the assistance. When notified that you have been chosen, you have a certain amount of time to show up for the test. If you do not show up, your benefits are suspended. I know some people are going to argue my comment, but I think it will work. I know not everyone is on drugs but if you do not do drugs, then you have nothing to worry about.
Along with most of the suggestions below, how about also giving everyone that applies a drug test? Then Random UA's when you are on assistance? I'm sure this could save lots of money too.

I am going to make a donation to the ACS in honor of my mom and because you have inspired me. I am sorry for your loss and that you have the gene that may cause you to get cancer yourself. I have always been too chicken to have that test. I am worried that if I have the gene, that I will always be more worried about when it is going to happen, than with living my life. Are you related to Mr. Ferland because it seems you may be. Mr. Ferland is supposed to do a job. If he cannot do it well, then find someone that can. At the same time Ms. Hodson(?) needs to be replaced for giving him permission to write the note.
You saw that mowing needed to be done and you did it. Do you not think if yours needed to be mowed that every other plot should be mowed too? Prayers are up for you and your new endeavor! I have been a victim of domestic violence in the past. I stayed for 9 years because I thought I deserved it. I finally got away from that and now know it wasn't me.
I grew up living next to the Parent family. Bente & my older sister were best friends. Amy loved her family & all of her friends and they all loved her. She was a special lady. My thoughts & prayers are with all who knew her and loved her.
You are all lucky to be able to go to the poll on election day and cast your votes. I now live in the Pacific North West. Here, you are mailed your ballots and you have to mail them back or drop them off at the town hall. This leads to many challenges and lots of confusion. People cannot meet with the candidates at the poll because there isn't one. The officials should have been better prepared in Rumford's case. Maybe someday, they will get their act together.
This chicken farm is NOT the only one that uses these practices while conducting business. They just happen to be the one that got caught. So if Shaw's and Hannaford boycotted this farm and used someone else, they most likely would be dealing with the same thing. Go to the website, www.mercyforanimals.org and watch what is being done to all types of animals. There is actual video of when they were inside of the egg farm. It is not a video for people with weak stomachs. I no longer live in Maine, but I now have my own chickens for eggs, we raise our own pork, beef, chickens and when it is time to harvest these animals for food, it is done as humanely as possible. While they are being raised, they are treated with love and kindness.

I have had a double mastectomy due to cancer. I am a survivor of 4 years! If I were in Maine, I would be there. I think people would be more horrified to see my scarred chest than all of the health, perky ones. They are marching for something that isn't even illegal! March for a cause and make a difference.
We started school together! I was in her first class that she ever taught. She was always so kind and patient! I was in Shop n Save a few years ago while on vacation in Maine and bumped into Mrs. McInnis. She remembered me! I was amazed! She made me feel special all over again just like she did when I had her as a teacher.
Thank you to ALL who participated! I no longer live in Maine but it will ALWAYS be my home. It is such a beautiful place, I'm glad people are trying to keep it that way.

My son almost died for crying out loud. He has had 3 surgeries, has permanent disabilities, and PTSD now and it looks like the guy that did it to him will get a slap on the wrist! I am not blaming just the judge. I blame the whole system! It sucks and it doesn't matter where you live.
How about you pee test all the employees. If they have the narcotics in their system and do not have a valid prescription for it, they might be the ones behind these "mysterious" break-ins. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it might be a duck...
Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have a program where people bring their unused presriptions to their local police station or pharmacy and then they are properly disposed of (incinerated). It works out here and it also keeps those drugs out of the wrong hands. Just a thought.
