I am so very sad to hear this. I enjoyed the games so much. They were always well worth the hour's drive for me. It was fun to see family and friends and to see such great hockey. I wish everyone involved with the team all the best. You will be greatly missed. It was quite a ride.
Here's hoping that this latest incident will hit home and make Gov. LePage more thoughtful. I have received many emails from friends across the country asking what's going on with Maine. All this negative publicity will not do much for bringing jobs to Maine if that really is his goal.
My thanks to both of you for your service to the City of Lewiston. I knew Buzzy through my father's business. His quick thinking and actions kept the entire building from burning down in 1974. My best wishes to you both.
Google "kiss my butt" and see how widely this story has been reported. One of Mr. LePage's goals is to create jobs in Maine. If I were a CEO of a corporation being courted to open a business in Maine, I'd think twice about having to deal with an administration represented by this man.
This was a great game and a great win for the Maineiacs. So much fun! The effort that the team is putting out this year is really commenable as is the effort of management to reach out to the community. Let's support our team!
After reading the very hateful and threatening comments on the paper's facebook posting about this story, I am pleased to see that those here have a lot more good sense. What I find ironic is that so many people say "Speak English!" yet they can't even put a good sentence together.

I, too, am a big hockey fan and have seen hockey played at all levels. Attending Maineiacs games is a treat - great hockey in a very good venue. Seeing family and friends, old and new, is a big plus. The team has been working hard at making and strengthening their connections to the community. They have earned your support, please give it to them.

This excellent article should be posted in the Maineiacs locker room. The positiveness will do more than any derrogatory remark by an opponent could ever do. Go Maineiacs.
While currently I have serious issues with the diocese, I'd rather focus right now on the positive - my wonderful memories of growing up in St. Patrick's parish. My faith was formed there. I was baptized, married, and received my first sacraments there. I graduated from St. Pat's school. The priests and nuns were an important part of our family. Many of my family's friends shared membership in St. Pat's and my parents were active in many parish activities. I am saddened to see it close, but I have my memories and will carry a part of St. Pat's with me always.
I would say that "distracted while feeding the cat in the back seat" while trying to drive a car would be a "duh" moment that would be a good reason for enforcing the new law.

This was a great hockey weekend. Big improvement in the team this year. A lot more enthusiasm in the crowd, too. It's going to be a good year!
