There is a FB setting to make photos available only to yourself or someone who has been given permission to view them.

Didn't state it was MY opinion, you seem to read what you to when you read. The general perception among those who either fear gays or do not support gay marriage feel that way. It isn't my opinion or many others but it exists and matters with the gay marriage issue, the main point was gays should tone down gay pride parades and act NORMAL since they are craving NORMALCY and equality.

Prices are frozen at a still way too high price. Good grief. I run an electric heater in the room the thermostat is in to prevent the furnace from turning on as often and understand how expensive electric heat is but it is STILL cheaper a month than heating oil in the winter.
Two years ago I would be crazy to do it this way but now it is actually cheaper. A friend of mine bought a couple of infared electric heaters which are even more economical. I am going to get one when I can before the end of winter.

My Aunt has been in section 8 housing most of her life, she fell out of a 5th floor window and was brain damaged. She also has diabetes and is unhealthy and NEEDS help.

Lewiston died in 1984 when downtown died. It has been mistake after mistake, bad loans and building parking garages projects. Lewiston is so far in debt (in the multi millions) that this casino project would have guaranteed 3.5 million a year in revenue through 2 million in property taxes and another 1.5 in revenue sharing. Really who cares if outside interests get rich in the process.
Lewiston remains a poverty stricken depressing ex-mill town with nothing to offer but raised property taxes they will have to doi nopw to pay for what this casino would have on our city debt.
Businesses already have left or are leaving for Auburn where property taxes for business is cheaper.

I simply made a comment in a forum here and that is that. I read another article on this homicide and the person they spoke with said basically the same thing I did and that was Frank was genuinely an extremely nice kind man and putting that face and personality with a homicide is very difficult to do. I had to make sure when I read the article that the Sunjournal had not been mistaken and added the photo of Frank by accident.
Obviously it is so and correct, I am just shocked still. I still have this thought in my head that it was an accident somehow and he panicked and thought he would be blamed for it. Maybe he pushed her and she hit her head and died. maybe in a moment of passionate arguing he punched her and something bad happened.
We'll never know for sure but one thing I do know for sure Frank was a very trusted nice man who obviously made a mistake or he has a second personality I never saw. I would think that after selling for him for a year and knowing him for another that something would have popped up telling me he wasn;t right or odd. My brother who played bumper pool with him years ago said basically the same thing I have and that he was very very nice, kind and great guy to hang with. It is truly sad really, the whole thing for Frank's family and the victim's family.

I only knew him for a couple of years a few years ago and sold wares for him on eBay that he had acquired for his store he had at the time on Sabattus Street. He would go to new hampshire and buy the wares in bulk and the sell them in his store for profit. It was a thrift store of sorts that had a bit of everything, the store is currently empty and has been for a while. He had mentioned retiring and closing it someday when I discussed it with him. I am not sure that is what he did or not. I read your story on your website and was shocked because it just didn't fit the guy I knew. I did not know about his passing until I read it here, I am not close to the guy and feel any comments I could make would look like someone just trying to get attention. People like that bother me, I am sure it helps your business since you need that but I am not interested. Obviously since you own the comments here and since I don't care about stuff mentioned on the internet you can use them. I am verified I suppose since I had to be to join here.
My younger brother also played bumper pool with Frank in a local bumper pool league years ago and quite honestly we are both shocked since he literally is one of the nicest guys you could meet and talk to.
I am extremely sad for his family more than anything, both the Julien family as well as the victim's family. I cannot imagine finding the remains of a dead body in your father's rented storage unit after his passing. Talk about a double whammy, losing Dad and then finding that out at almost the same time. If Frank's son is reading this I feel badly. Nobody will ever know what happened but from how nice he seemed it could very well have been an accident of some sort caused from an argument that got out of hand in the moment of passion perhaps. Obviously just knowing him as an acquaintance through making money and did not know him personally I really only saw one side of the man. I clearly stated that IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME if a cell phone was found on the floor open for texting. I never said she was but it would not surprise me given the amount of accidents involving rearending type accidents from speeding and not paying attention. I live on this street and these rearenders happen every week LITERALLY. I have almost been hit just waiting to turn into my driveway at least twice so far.
Over the last few years I have passed this trash truck parked exactly where it was hit while on its route picking up recylables. I just cannot conceive anyone driving into it unless they were speeding and/or being distracted. Take just one of those away and this woman would still be alive.
Even if distracted by kids, spilled coffee or whatever else this accident should not have happened on such a straight away with no parking on the sides. There can only be 3 possibilities, speeding, distraction or alcohol.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I just live on this street and see this all the time, the police thankfully pull people for speeding very often here. It would be very unlikely that a person driving within the speed limit would be in this severe of an accident.
I'm sure the results of the investigation will be released at some point.

I see a lot of people screaming past stopped school busses too unfortunately. it stops outside my house everyday and people go by at 50 mph without even slowing down when people are beeping at them for passing a stopped school bus.

I live around the Black Shark just up the road and can tell all of you there are several rearend accidents on Sabattus street because people do not see stopped or waiting to turn vehicles WHILE TEXTING ON THE PHONE.

The other problem is that the speed limit is 35 mph and people literally do 50 to 60 mph. Cops pull people over all day long here.
But really this is something we talk about in this household because we actually watch for cars in the rearview with a foot ready on the gas just in case we see someone not slowing behind us while waiting to turn into our driveway which can take some time when traffic is heavy.
This will not surprise me if the police investigators find an open text message on a cell phone in the vehicle. trust me when i say this the only time sun issues are a problem are at dusk and they are not enough to drive into a trash truck that has its hazard lights flashing.

I watched a security video of an attempted gang asassination of a store clerk who was to testify against a store robber. He was shot 3 times and lived but TWO bystanders were literally within 2 feet of the guy for almost 20 seconds just watching him do what he was doing before deciding to flee for their own lives which would be the obvious choice having no firearm on themselves.
ONE of them if they had a gun could have easily dealt with him. Prices are frozen at a still way too high price. Good grief. I run an electric heater in the room the thermostat is in to prevent the furnace from turning on as often and understand how expensive electric heat is but it is STILL cheaper a month than heating oil in the winter.
Two years ago I would be crazy to do it this way but now it is actually cheaper. A friend of mine bought a couple of infared electric heaters which are even more economical. I am going to get one when I can before the end of winter.

Lewiston died in 1984 when downtown died. It has been mistake after mistake, bad loans and building parking garages projects. Lewiston is so far in debt (in the multi millions) that this casino project would have guaranteed 3.5 million a year in revenue through 2 million in property taxes and another 1.5 in revenue sharing. Really who cares if outside interests get rich in the process.
Lewiston remains a poverty stricken depressing ex-mill town with nothing to offer but raised property taxes they will have to doi nopw to pay for what this casino would have on our city debt.
Businesses already have left or are leaving for Auburn where property taxes for business is cheaper.

Also I have a strong dislike for reality shows or people on talk shows and the news talking about deeply personal stuff and unless they are trying to spread a message or make people aware of the dangers of the subject at hand I have no use for those idiots.
I simply made a comment in a forum here and that is that. I read another article on this homicide and the person they spoke with said basically the same thing I did and that was Frank was genuinely an extremely nice kind man and putting that face and personality with a homicide is very difficult to do. I had to make sure when I read the article that the Sunjournal had not been mistaken and added the photo of Frank by accident.
Obviously it is so and correct, I am just shocked still. I still have this thought in my head that it was an accident somehow and he panicked and thought he would be blamed for it. Maybe he pushed her and she hit her head and died. maybe in a moment of passionate arguing he punched her and something bad happened.
We'll never know for sure but one thing I do know for sure Frank was a very trusted nice man who obviously made a mistake or he has a second personality I never saw. I would think that after selling for him for a year and knowing him for another that something would have popped up telling me he wasn;t right or odd. My brother who played bumper pool with him years ago said basically the same thing I have and that he was very very nice, kind and great guy to hang with. It is truly sad really, the whole thing for Frank's family and the victim's family.

I only knew him for a couple of years a few years ago and sold wares for him on eBay that he had acquired for his store he had at the time on Sabattus Street. He would go to new hampshire and buy the wares in bulk and the sell them in his store for profit. It was a thrift store of sorts that had a bit of everything, the store is currently empty and has been for a while. He had mentioned retiring and closing it someday when I discussed it with him. I am not sure that is what he did or not. I read your story on your website and was shocked because it just didn't fit the guy I knew. I did not know about his passing until I read it here, I am not close to the guy and feel any comments I could make would look like someone just trying to get attention. People like that bother me, I am sure it helps your business since you need that but I am not interested. Obviously since you own the comments here and since I don't care about stuff mentioned on the internet you can use them. I am verified I suppose since I had to be to join here.
My younger brother also played bumper pool with Frank in a local bumper pool league years ago and quite honestly we are both shocked since he literally is one of the nicest guys you could meet and talk to.
I am extremely sad for his family more than anything, both the Julien family as well as the victim's family. I cannot imagine finding the remains of a dead body in your father's rented storage unit after his passing. Talk about a double whammy, losing Dad and then finding that out at almost the same time. If Frank's son is reading this I feel badly. Nobody will ever know what happened but from how nice he seemed it could very well have been an accident of some sort caused from an argument that got out of hand in the moment of passion perhaps. Obviously just knowing him as an acquaintance through making money and did not know him personally I really only saw one side of the man. My brother played pool with him as I mentioned and has the same exact feeling I do ... that this is extremely surprising given his personality.

Over the last few years I have passed this trash truck parked exactly where it was hit while on its route picking up recylables. I just cannot conceive anyone driving into it unless they were speeding and/or being distracted. Take just one of those away and this woman would still be alive.
Even if distracted by kids, spilled coffee or whatever else this accident should not have happened on such a straight away with no parking on the sides. There can only be 3 possibilities, speeding, distraction or alcohol.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I just live on this street and see this all the time, the police thankfully pull people for speeding very often here. It would be very unlikely that a person driving within the speed limit would be in this severe of an accident.
I'm sure the results of the investigation will be released at some point.

I live around the Black Shark just up the road and can tell all of you there are several rearend accidents on Sabattus street because people do not see stopped or waiting to turn vehicles WHILE TEXTING ON THE PHONE.
I am not exaggerating, at least one accident a week on Sabattus street alone.
The other problem is that the speed limit is 35 mph and people literally do 50 to 60 mph. Cops pull people over all day long here.
But really this is something we talk about in this household because we actually watch for cars in the rearview with a foot ready on the gas just in case we see someone not slowing behind us while waiting to turn into our driveway which can take some time when traffic is heavy.
This will not surprise me if the police investigators find an open text message on a cell phone in the vehicle. trust me when i say this the only time sun issues are a problem are at dusk and they are not enough to drive into a trash truck that has its hazard lights flashing.

Mandatory
I agree there should be a health insurance alternative if one chooses to participate, making it mandatory is completely wrong on every level. Using the car insurance analogy as a debating tool is weak because you are not forced to drive, if you CHOOSE to drive you must have insurance. NOT THE SAME THING.
My main argument is that whether or not it is needed we CANNOT AFFORD IT PERIOD. It is not a wise decision to make it happen. Besides the fact there isn't one single Government run program that doesn't lose money or isn't mismanaged or both.

it was a comment about being able to watch video cirtually anywhere on the net so who cares about whether or not a TV station covered it.
i also mentioned Obama is the worst president I have seen since Jimmy carter.

Gun Control
I agree .... like I said I do not own a gun and never have BUT the fact remains it is a guaranteed right and people should stop messing with it and using crime as an excuse like those morons in Chicago who have banned handguns.
Ironically I am also a Republican as you are .... seems we both believe in less Government interference in our lives. Sucks living in a blue state but alas here we are.
Gun control
I am very strongly opposed to gun control. The 2nd Amendment is what it is and it has been curtailed in lieu of people's fear of guns because of crime and the animals in our society.
I watched a security video of an attempted gang asassination of a store clerk who was to testify against a store robber. He was shot 3 times and lived but TWO bystanders were literally within 2 feet of the guy for almost 20 seconds just watching him do what he was doing before deciding to flee for their own lives which would be the obvious choice having no firearm on themselves.
ONE of them if they had a gun could have easily dealt with him. I have never owned a gun and feel the right to own one and have one on oneself is covered in the constitution well enough and people should respect why the right to bear arms is in it in the first place. if you do not understand why go read about it, there are several books on the subject that explain our founding Father's justification for having it in there.
I don't trust huge
I don't trust huge communications conglomerates to be honest about any health hazard associated with cell phone use if any.
They make bazillions of dollars a year from it.
As with global warming you can find any source to say one fact and another to state a different fact about it. Who honestly knows what is true.
Not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer but it is fact that many people who smoke do. Because of this they cannot state it causes lung cancer. I quit smoking in 2001 in case it does for me later on. Freedom of choice.
I don't use a cell phone ... freedom of choice. I certainly am not going to tell people not to use one or it causes anything at all. We don't know one way or the other.
