I completely agree with you

I completely agree with you Frank. My parents owned a bar and just because people rode in on their motorcycles, we were deemed a "biker bar"....can never judge a book by its cover. Many people ended up walking through the doors and always came back because we had a great atmosphere and no fights. We never tolerated it. Plain and simple.

Whatever caused this fight, I am sure that charges will be filed. There is no need for all of this to go on. It is funny how quick a Somali is quick to point the finger at someone else when it is them that is causing the primary issue. I say this as matter of fact because my friend's daughter had many run ins with them at school, one time in particular where a somali girl complained that my friend's daughter wouldn't let her listen to her ipod, claiming it was hers when it really wasn't.....or my mother got rear-ended by a somali and there was another somali that was walking on the side of the street that jumped into the other van and then claimed that he 'injured his neck'. They have earned a name and after having as many issues with them in the past, they all just seem to be the same, unless proven otherwise.

This is exactly why I am a

This is exactly why I am a full supporter for loud pipes on motorcycles....too many people say that they don't ever see the motorcycle. If the pipes were loud, they would be sure to hear it!

I absolutely agree with you

I absolutely agree with you 200% and then some!! I have known this guy for many years and everytime I saw him out and about buying frivilous things, knowing that he didn't have a job, it put a bad taste in my mouth!! Now it all makes sense! I hope also that he gets the maximum sentence and not just a slap on his hand! He has probably, more than likely, ruined his child's credit and will be paying the penalty, just as you said Frank! Absolutely disgusting!! I am glad he finally got caught!

Wow! Seriously Dan?!

And how the heck did Lepage come about into this?? His name wasn't mentioned at all. It was the EMS board that cleared them. Read the facts in detail rather than assuming because assumtions get you no where!

Granted, he did fix the error

Granted, he did fix the error without acknowledging his wrong but do you honestly need to have the 'thank you Mr. Breton for pointing out my error when I was too quick to type and hit the wrong key'....I don't know about you Mr. Breton, but I do work on a computer all day long and when you are quick to type, errors do occur, even ones that spell check will not show because the word is spelled correctly, just not appropriately. These reporters just want to get the stories out quick and efficently because it is news, it is what they report for us to read. It does happen. I see it all the time, not only from Sun Journal, but the news channels that post their news on other forums such as Facebook and such. And everyone is quick to mention the errors. If you can understand what is being read, then why point it out? I realize that they are the ones that make the money as opposed to the rest of us, but being said, they are only human, as well as you and I. They are allowed to make mistakes just like the rest of us do. No one is perfect and I will be the first to admit so...

Oh oops! I misspelled

Oh oops! I misspelled 'positive'...you gonna rip my head off for my error too? Like I said, NOT PERFECT!!

Perfect?!

And you, Mr. Breton, are perfect by any means?! Give him a break! We all make errors, even myself and clearly Mr. Williams, and I am most certainly postitive that YOU make errors as well!! Cut some slack!

We don't know if texting was

We don't know if texting was a probable cause of this accident. It very well could've but don't go and jump to conclusions. Speed could've played a factor for all we know. I know that Pond Rd is only 25mph but people drive over that hill fast and someone on Randall Rd going straight won't have enough time to react and boom, there is another accident. So let's not assume but yet hope that all people involved are fine....

Just one more thing too: in

Just one more thing too: in order to shoot at a target, the gun would have to be pointed in that direction and since Despres shot at the truck that the Lamothes were in, then it is safe to say that yes, he did point the gun at them, of which the father sped off with his son and granddaughter in the vehicle....

To Samantha, none of us said

To Samantha, none of us said that we knew everything about this story and per usual, there are always 2 sides to the story. No one is pointing fingers. We are just reading what the Sun Journal printed in this article of which they stated "Police said Despres knew it was the baby's father who was taking her", so of course, that leads us to believe that Despres knew full and well what he was doing. And as for kidnapping, if it was his own child, it is not considered 'kidnapping', he was just taking her without authorization from the mother. (I've dealt with this type of situation before so I can comment and speculate.)

As I said before, Dan,

As I said before, Dan, Pedro's may HAVE a bar but it is a RESTAURANT!! And how can you sit there and talk about sleezy?! There are many other BAR ESTABLISHMENTS out there that you can sit there and talk trash about it being "sleezy" but you don't see the parents bringing him there to support their son's talent! Yes, it is school vacation but nonetheless, he is there under parent supervision and that is appropriate! Just as long as it is not on the weekends. I've been a bartender for over 10 years and besides, it is not only bartender's call, but also the restaurant owner's discretion. And they are obviously helping Justin out with getting his name out there as a young and TALENTED musician. He is not sitting home and being a couch potato playing video games or absorbing himself in the television.....Have some compassion for this young musician and quit critizing him! Besides, it is NOT your say!

Dan, Pedro's may be a bar but

Dan, Pedro's may be a bar but you seem to forget that it is also a family resturant. On Monday's, no big deal....it's when it is a Thursday, Friday, or even Saturday night that I would say is not encouraging. This kid has talent and needs to show the world. If he is that good, he will be a somebody. He needs to start somewhere and Pedro's is giving him that opportunity! Good for them, and everyone that does support this child with what he loves most...music!! Bravo Justin!! Keep rocking!!

Not only...

Not only that, but what about setting the example for the rest of us? I agre with you Steve, "Do these individuals have superhuman abilities that allow them to drive and text at the same time?"....They can become just as distracted as anyone else and cause an accident. I don't think that this is right!

This is great that this is

This is great that this is finally being decided and I'm all for the Middle School to have a lacrosse team but what about a girls team? I've been coaching girls lacrosse for the Rec Dept for the last 3 years and there are enough girls that would want to form a team, my daughter included. Besides, this would give the girls a different avenue to explore helping them to stay fit and most especially, out of trouble. It would be something nice to see other than the boys getting their team and excluding the girls.

Missed conception

I believe what you might have missed while reading all the other comments is people expressing the fact that immigrants lack the proper knowledge of operating a vehicle on our Maine roads. No one said anything about the other driver being Somalian. That is you putting words into someone else's mouth. I do agree with those that have commented about their driving abilities, or lack there of. They have no common sense when crossing the street, walking on the sidewalk, or even operating a heavy vehicle on our roads. Should we continue to let them control our country? Who was here first? You or them? I'm not racist but when I see them driving in a brand new Mercedes or Lexus, I will wonder who's money they used to pay for it? Or when they talk about wanting more kids because the state doesn't pay them enough (which this I have heard), who's money is it? By the way, this post is not me accusing one of their kind for causing the accident but me agreeing with the others that have commented about their roadside manner. A driver's ed course wouldn't be a bad idea. Even an eye exam or such...

Isn't this a ONE lane street?

I'm relieved to hear that she is okay but didn't the city make this a one lane street now? It used to be two but since they did some road work, it is now lined as one lane. And did the 'passing' car stop to help or did they continue driving off, knowing full and well that they were in the wrong?? Charges need to be filed. This could've cost this poor woman her life or even who knows what else harm it could've caused!

True, but we just have to pay

True, but we just have to pay for her to thrive in our prison systems for the rest of her life. What she did to this other child was intentional. She admitted to it. I don't want to seem crude by saying so but death should pay her a visit, in some way shape or form....

I can agree with your comment

I can agree with your comment if you have a dangerous dog or even bred your dog to be dangerous than why would anyone in their right mind have their children around that dog? But to, first of all, say it's all one breed is not true. Second, keeping a dog muzzled at all times, in my opinion, is a form of animal cruelty. Part of the responability of having a dog is just like children, you need to teach them right from wrong. You need to be the parent. If you don't know how to train a dog there are resources.

I am glad that the children

I am glad that the children are fine in this case but what I would like to know is how the dog was brought up? Have they had the dog since it was born and raised it properly or was this animal taken in at an older age and there is some background history that is unknowledgeable....The other question is, is this in fact, a pure pit bull? I own one and she is the sweestest dog ever. She plays very gentle with my 2 children and has never bared her teeth once. She has also never had a hand raised to her either. I am a victim of a pit bull attack so I do know how these kids feel. Only the dog that attacked me was abused. He was euthanized due to his actions but the one person to blame was the previous owner. I attempted to right a wrong and was harmed in the process....As for the "charges for keeping a dangerous dog are appropriate", this I do not agree with. Would they say that a German Shepard, American Bulldog, or even a Chihuahua is not dangerous enough and cannot harm a human? Because they can and they do so would charges be filed then? Might as well just get rid of all the dogs in this world if this is what this world is coming to!

Glad she is okay...

And family was allowing her to play close to the edge of this cliff why??? Where was the responsibility?

Very glad to hear that she is okay.
