I can't believe that a little snow, yes 5 or 6 inches is a little, when you compare it to the amounts we have here in Alaska and the schools still seem to operate.
I wonder how many of Maine's birds will meet the fate of those in other states with wind farms. But let me see that's ok according to the government and enviormentalists because it's green energy. Anyone else harms an eagle and heavy fines and/or jail time occurs. Is this a double standard. I mean aren't we the people supposed to be the government? Maybe it's time that wind power facts are checked.
I have lived in quite a few states and all have required that the voter be registered at least 30 days before the election. I think this should happen in all states.
Guess you should have listened a little better. It is up to the President what gets paid. He is using it as a tactic to scare everyone in the country. It is the way of government, can't get what you want, scare the population that will be effected the most. An an individual 65, I find it hard to believe that the entire senior population of this country believes everything that the mainstream media throws out there.

Another foreign source. It is time to drill here at home. Green cannot provide the energy that is needed for at least 20 or 30 years.

Had several chances for liquid natural gas plant but of course the governor didn't want those and they went other places. Now if I lived in a state with one of the highest poverty rates in the nation, I think I would tend to vote for things that would bring these jobs to my state.

I grew up with that feeling, we never locked the doors. All the neighborhood children stayed out playing baseball. We walked half the town for Halloween and our parents didn't worry about us as they knew we would be safe. That was small town Windham in the early 50's. I know there are other small towns that were just like that, my husband grew up in a North Dakota town that was just as safe. So yes they did exist.

The members of Andover Service Circle have been doing the clean up for many years now, even before the atv groups joined. I was a member of the group while living there and told them about the city of Anchorage doing a spring clean up after the long winter and thought it was something that the group could do for the town. I am glad to see that has grown and is now a regular part of spring there as it is here in Alaska.

Approval ratings are in a downward spiral for all politicians starting with Obama and heading down the line toward Congress. They forgot who sent them to Washington. As a registered independent, I can guarantee that I will be voting in November.

I have insurance for life and when I reach 65 they say I have to have medicare and that is first payer. Why not change it so that my insurance pays first. I live in a state where only 1 doctor in 20 will accept medicare patients and that's if you are lucky. There are other ways too, but they don't listen to reason once they are in Washington.

Where is his concern for the military, who by the way do not love him as most of you think. Especially the ones who are out there fighting and wondering how he is going to get them killed. Yes I do have loved ones fighting this war. Time Obama stopped blaming Bush and actually tried to do something instead of campaign like he has been doing for the last 10 months.

Yes Lil there are those of us out here with the single payer option that to hate medicare or nocare. VA care is another. Ask all those returing vets how they like their care. I know my daughter and her friends are fighting for their care with their injuries received for defending their country. Who is defending them with the right to medical care.

This now a country of people
This now a country of people who are not willing to do what is necessary to defend it against it's enemies. It starts with the present administration and congress. All the administration's doing is to take away the necessary tools that today's military needs to do it's job. Pretty sad when troops do not have bullets for their guns, or have to wait for a lawyer to tell them if it's ok to defend themselves. Most of todays military are people out there doing a job that needs to be done and doing a very good job of it with the resources available to them. I wish I could say the same about congress.

I think that the democratic party has just as many racists in it. Everyone seems to think whites are the only racists in this country. Hate to break it to you people out there in la, la land, there are racists blacks as well as Hispanics. There has been slavery of every race since time began.
Maybe in a state like Maine
Maybe in a state like Maine where most are on welfare and other forms of assistance, gov insurance works. Try living in a state that the dr will not accept those and see what you get. No thanks I will stick with what I have and you can keep on taking whataever the feds decides is adaquate care for you.
