Why is this user, Tron, allowed to call people asses? I do not allow my children to use the SJ online for school projects because of the profanity that is allowed in these forums!
Tron is out of line calling people names, especially a profane remark like, " You are an ass.....". Leads me to believe that poor Tron has nothing better to do!

YOU CAN NOT REPLACE THESE HISTORICAL STRUCTURES!!!!!!!! Why tear down history? The building could be retro fitted to accomodate any type of business and the historical value would act as a client magnet.

The city's original architectural and historic buildings are disappearing fast. Other cities retrofit older buildings to suit the needs of the community. I cried when the octagonal, mansard style, tower roof was taken down at the factory housing Acorn Products and other businesses, and replaced with a flat, rubber roof! These styles of buildings can not be replaced and should be saved and additions and new buildings should reflect and blend in with what already exists.

If the people that you voted for are not doing what they said that they would do, Take it to the streets in organized, massive, peaceful, protests!!!!!! All of the BS in these comments is sic kening. If you racial bigots picked up a college grade Maine history book [can not find it to cite source as I just moved] you will find that the Ku Kux Klan was started in Maine before it reached statehood and before there were any black people here!

Maine needs more towers is an understatement just as ISPs and phone companies need more hardware to handle the growing demand for fast, convenient data transfer.
Norm thinks that the USPS should have installed gutter guards instead of cutting down trees that survived the great Dutch Elm disease that wiped out millions of Elm trees in the northeast. We are to quick to let historical landmarks be cut down or demolished and then they are gone forever!
