After reading the many comments here, I have a couple of comments myself.
1) A majority of you are ready to throw him under the train, or bus, or whatever is the most convienient for crimes which he was already been convicted of and served a sentence for. Don't you all realize that he payed for his crimes according to the law.
2.) I'd like to know how many of the posters are Christians. By the tone of the comments, I'd say NONE, but my intuition says otherwise. Makes me proud to be an atheist.
3) Read "Les Miserables", this person sounds like he should be named Jean Valjean.
4.) This one is most important, and has been my opinion for a long time. Many of you seem to have all the answers to all of our societal problems, too bad some of you wouldn't run for public office and use your self-stated expertise to change the way things a done.
I know I'll get lambasted for my views, but I just take the comments from hence they come, mostly from BEMs.
Maybe you should post your picture here Taxpoor, so we can judge for ourselves whether or not you are a strange man. What makes him so strange, and how can you tell by looking at his picture?
So jpat, how do you know that these people that wish to be married to someone of the same gender want to" lie with a male as one lies with a female?" What gives you, or anyone else, the right to think about what these folks are, or are not doing behind closed doors in the privacy of their own home? If two men, or two women, could prove that they didn't "lie with a male as one lies with a female" or lie with a woman as a man would lie with a woman, would you let them marry then? It seems to me that those that want to overturn the law, only wish to do so because of what they perceive as going on where they have no right to think about what is going on. Doesn't the bible tell us to judge not lest we be judged. Jpat, it seems that you are judging these people without any knowledge, so you are prejudging. Doesn't that make you prejudiced? Maybe you all that have views such as this, should take some time out of your busy day and do some soul searching about why you actually feel the way you do on this issue, close the bible first though, and just think about on a human level.
Sometimes I think that all these people have is lies and/or deception to offer in order to enforce their opinions. It's time that we, as citizens stood up to the lies of these folks. If they feel that they want to live in a country ruled by religious doctrine, maybe they should move to country where that is the case. If they feel that their churches should be making the laws, then their churches should lose their tax excempt status.
KJ, you must work for an insuranse company. Blame the victim, that's their mantra. You say "some one as accident prone as you should be more careful". Have you never cut yourself? Probably not, especially if you haven't done any actual "work" in your lifetime. People can be as careful as possible and still get injured, it happens all the time. Maybe you should be a little less judgemental and see what she is actually saying here in the letter, that our health care system has been taken over by the insurance companies who claim to be on our side, but are in actuality just greedy corporations causing the costs of health care up.
What strikes me as hinky about this is that the police report says that he "fell asleep at the wheel". With a BAC of .19 he more than likely passed out. It really irks me that scumbag lawyers make money getting these people off from these charges. I can't wait to read in the paper someday that Lemmy Sharon's son, daughter, wife, mother, etc. gets run over and killed by one of his former clients. Payback's a bitch.
Never mind "living", buying anything from Wally World is a crap shoot. I haven't been in one of their stores for years. If I don't need anything bad enough to Wal-Mart, an organization that cares less about it's customers than their employees.
After the tradgedy of 9/11, the insurance companies cried that they lost money. Well boo-hoo, so did I and many, many others. The insurance companies raised their rates to recupe their losse, my health insurance went up 20%. Now here it is seven years later and they have recupped their losses, but have they lowered rates? Noooooooooooooooooooooo. They used the tradgedy to increase profits, they are crooks, they should be in jail, and the last administration went to bat for them. Now we have people who are trying to do something about it and people like Palin are using lies to try to squash their efforts. I wonder how much money she stands to gain from her lies. No wonder she was able to quit he job as govrnor of Alaska.
And what happens to those of us that have no insurance offered by our employers? Making it a mandate that employers offer insurance isn't the answer either, niether is a mandate that all people buy insurance. Who's to say what is "affordable"? The insurance industry? The government? What happens when they mandate this and I still can't afford it? Will the government put me in jail? Sounds good to me, free housing, food and medical care. Go to a city, such as Portland, and see who has the newest, most extravagant buildings. MEMIC, Anthem, UNUM, the insurance companies. And here I am just getting by after all these years. I lost my insurance when I got hurt at work, where I had faithfully been employed for 9 years, and they fired me. Then I fought with MEMIC for a year to get the treatment I needed while I lived off my savings. As far as I'm concerned, the insurance industry and all their CEOs can fall into the depths of hell where they belong, they aren't doing this country all that much good.
Well Mr. Kullson, I drive a 10 year old pick up and live in a house which is 219 years old and it isn't in the best of shape. I own no snowmobiles, 4-wheelers, or other extravaganses, and if I bought health insurance, I wouldn't be able to eat, have electricity, or have a phone. YOU ARE WRONG, stick it in you &%$. I do take good care of myself but refuse to put money in rhe pockets of the crooks running the health insurance industry. They are the ones making millions and driving fancy cars and living in extravagant houes.
So Robert, if all of us stopped paying our utility bills, how long do you think CMP would be able to stay in business? I work hard to keep my bills up to date, and can't afford video games. The three adults in that apartment had video games and a tv either running on a generator, or by using someone else's electricity, depending on which version of the story you hear. They had the responsiblity to keep Taylor safe because she was in their care, and they didn't. Let's not blame CMP, they are in business and can't supply free electricty to those whose priorities are skewed.

The Republicans, such as Palin, keep proving that all they can do is lie, lie, lie, instead of entering into meaningful debate on tough subjects.
How come when protesters
How come when protesters went to Bush's rallies they were arrested? Maybe the Obama administration should follow suit.
