Vermonters split $200K

GREENSBORO, Vt. (AP) – Six employees at the Willey’s store are sharing a $200,000 Powerball prize they won earlier this month.

The winning ticket was only the second time the people had gone in together to buy Powerball lottery tickets.

After taxes, each of the Willey’s Store workers received $23,000.33.

“It didn’t click at first, not until I actually looked at all the papers together,” said Samantha Hall, of Hardwick.

Sarah Cabell, also of Hardwick, said she didn’t believe they’d won, either.

To win $200,000 the ticket matched five of the Powerball numbers drawn on April 1.
