Vivian S. Poulin


RUCKERSVILLE, Va. – Vivian Shirley Poulin, 80, of Ruckersville, Va., died on Saturday, April 8, at the home of her son, Raymond W. Poulin Jr.

She was born in Wales on Aug. 20, 1925, the daughter of the late Clyde M. Johnson and Ruth M. (Cram) Johnson. She was educated in Wales and Monmouth schools and graduated as valedictorian of Monmouth Academy.

She moved to Michigan in 1955, and retired from Comerica Bank after 38 years of service and continued to work to the age of 75 as a sales associate for Montgomery Ward. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and employee.

She loved nature, animals and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the National Geographic Society and Disabled Veterans of America.

She is survived by two sons, Gary and his wife, Jane Poulin, of Newport News, Va. and Raymond and his wife, Sandra Poulin, of Ruckersville, Va.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Arlene and George Rheaume of Winthrop; and sister-in-law, Alice Johnson of Wales.

She was predeceased by brothers, Cecil and Ronald; and sisters, Madeline, Eloise, Muriel and Carolyn.
