DURHAM — Fifteen voters unanimously approved amending the Land Use Ordinance and the 911 Addressing Ordinance on Tuesday evening.
Town Clerk Shannon Plourde opened the meeting at 7 p.m. Local attorney Gordon Grimes was elected moderator.
Codes Enforcement Officer Paul Baines, who is not a Durham resident, explained the two articles. The first amended the town’s Land Use Ordinance to bring it into compliance with the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code. All permit fees will remain the same.
Voters also OK’d changing the 911 Addressing Ordinance to have the code enforcement officer as the addressing authority instead of the administrative assistant.
