These wacky storytellers like to wing it

LEWISTON – After a sold-out performance last March, King’s Bridge Theatre will welcome back Wingnuts! for a one-night only show Friday, Jan. 26. This wacky comedy improvisation troupe goes for laughs in the tradition of “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and “Saturday Night Live.”

Wingnuts! involves each new audience in every skit, while expressing the improv mantra of “comedy without a net.”

Appearing with this group of strange storytellers will be King’s Bridge Theatre Associate Artist Duane Glover, who was last seen as the enigmatic rouge, El Gallo, in Community Little Theatre’s production of “The Fantasticks.”

Glover has taught adult improvisation for King’s Bridge and is also “master impersonator” of the group.

The fast-paced and unscripted show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the KBT performance space at 387 Lisbon St. Tickets are $8 and may be purchased by calling 577-6157. Tickets are also available at the Lewiston Pawn Shop, 383 Lisbon St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Please note that this venue is on the second floor, and there is no elevator access.
