Walmart gives Good Shepherd $60,000 grant


AUBURN — The Good Shepherd Food-Bank was voted one of the top 50 food banks in the country recently as part of Walmart’s Fight Hunger Spark Change campaign, earning it a $60,000 grant from Walmart.

From Sept. 15 to Oct. 5, area residents cast 4,560 votes for the food bank as part of the online campaign, putting it in the top 50 nationally. Along with the 49 other top vote-getters, Good Shepherd will share in $3.7 million being granted by Walmart and its supplier partners.
