Citylink debuts new Web site
A new Citylink bus system Web site will give riders up to the minute news about service delays and outages.
The Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center debuted the Web site Tuesday at www.purplebus.org. It includes links to schedules online as well as information about each route.
“Right now, we have a warning for riders that the routes that go to the Auburn Mall could be delayed because of the construction there,” said Marsha Bennett, transit coordinator for the center and Citylink. “We won’t update it every day unless something happens. But if we have storm cancellations or some notice we need people to see, it makes it easier.”
Citylink operates eight bus routes daily around the Twin Cities and a free shuttle between downtowns. Citylink buses are running from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to the Web site, bus schedules are available at Lewiston and Auburn city halls and recreation departments and libraries, at Lewiston’s Oak Street bus station and at area malls and shops.
