SENECA, S.C. — Wendy G. Stone Riggins, 42, died Friday, April 9, at Oconee Memorial.
She was born April 22, 1967, in Seneca, S.C., the daughter of Eugenie Gamache and Wendell Stone. She moved to Maine at the age of one with her mother and siblings, where she grew up and made a life here.
She was married to Stephen Morin at a young age and had one son, Timothy Morin, whom she cherished. She divorced and moved back to South Carolina, and married Jerry Riggins, and lived there for approximately 13 years, until her death.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Morin of New Gloucester; her mother, Eugenie Gamache of Auburn; four sisters, Debbie Devost of Lewiston, Rhonda Murphy of Gray, Leah Pillarella of Middletown, Conn., and Kim Gauthier of Lewiston; a brother, Richard Murphy of Auburn; an uncle, Joseph Gamache; aunt, Shirley Jones; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her husband of South Carolina.
She was predeceased by her father; an uncle; two aunts; a nephew; and grandparents. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
