LEXINGTON, Mass. – Charles Washuk and Sarah Wetzel were wed in an Air Force military wedding on Oct. 22 at Hanscom Air Force Base Chapel. The Rev. Benet Phillips of St. Anselm College officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Leanne and James Wetzel of Princeton, Mass. The bridegroom is the son of Bonnie Washuk Zaccaro and Richard Zaccaro of Portland and the late Edward Washuk of Gardiner.
Maids of honor were Jennifer and Bonnie Wetzel, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary, Laura and Catherine Wetzel, all sisters of the bride.
Best men were Joseph Washuk and Edward Washuk III, brothers of the bridegroom. Ushers were John Clark IV and Michael Gray, cousins of the bridegroom, and James Wetzel, brother of the bride. Flower girls were Carly Corbin and Sierra Clark, cousins of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Christopher Bruen.
A reception followed at the Minuteman Officers Club.
Mrs. Washuk graduated from Wachusett High School and in 2002 from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. She is working on her master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in human relations and works for the University of Oklahoma on RAF Lakenheath, England.
Mr. Washuk graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in Lewiston and in 2002 from St. Anselm College. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Touro University and is a First Lieutenant at RAF Mildenhall, England. He will be promoted to the rank of captain in May.
The couple resides in England.
