WILTON — A Wilton man was arrested on a felony drug trafficking charge Wednesday after police searched his Cameron Street home.
Oscar O. Thompson, 37, was arrested by Detective Rick Billian on the aggravated trafficking charge due to the home being close to Academy Hill School and a firearm in the house.
Following a monthlong investigation, the Wilton department secured a warrant and searched the home at 7 a.m., according to a release. They found money, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, a ledger and the firearm.
Thompson posted $3,000 unsecured bail later in the day and was released, according to an officer at the Franklin County Detention Center. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 23.
Wilton officers helping in the home search were Nate Reid, Timothy Coombs, Wayne Drake, Nicholas Oettinger and Lt. E. Page Reynolds.
