WILTON — Police arrested a local man who they say fired a semiautomatic handgun during a dispute at a mobile home park early Tuesday morning.
Timothy Koehler, 30, of Wilton, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. at the Arkay Trailer Park in Wilton, according to a statement from police Chief Heidi Wilcox. He was charged with aggravated reckless conduct and domestic violence criminal threatening.
Wilcox said Officer Chad Abbott went to the mobile home park in response to a 911 hang-up call received at the Franklin County Dispatch Center. Abbott and fellow officer Mike Ryan investigated and said they learned that a .25-caliber semiautomatic handgun had been fired during a dispute, endangering those in the mobile home, the chief said.
Keohler was taken first to Franklin Memorial Hospital, though it is unclear why. He was later brought to the Franklin County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail. Koehler recently moved to Wilton from Arizona, according to Wilcox.
