Windham, Raymond schools shuttered by email threats


WINDHAM (AP) — Regional School Unit 14 released all of its students as police investigated an emailed threat.

Windham police said two different school officials received separate threatening emails Monday at the start of the day.

Student in all RSU 14 schools were released Monday morning to ensure their safety. The district serves Windham and Raymond.

Windham Police Lt. Jim Boudreau said his department has enlisted the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force in an investigation to attempt to determine the source of the emails. The emails were different and came from different sources.

The schools will be closed again on Tuesday, Superintendent Sanford J. Prince IV said in a letter to parents posted online on Monday
