WMCA board members announced

EAST WILTON — Western Maine Community Action announced that Ryan Conrad, Katherine Nerney and Jacqueline Knight have joined its board.

“We are excited to welcome our newest board members. We appreciate the unique strengths each of them brings to the agency,” Fenwick Fowler, WMCA executive director, said.

Conrad has lived in Lewiston for the past 10 years and holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and performance from Bates College and a master of fine arts degree from Maine College of Art.

Nerney has lived in the tri county area for most of her life, after moving from New York as a child. She works for New Beginnings, a homeless shelter for teens.

Knight lives in Livermore Falls and works for Sykes in Wilton and at Dirigo High School teaching in the AmeriCorps Program. She is also enrolled at the University of Maine in Augusta studying social services. Knight is an active community member, having served on the Board of Selectmen in Livermore Falls , on the Area Youth Sports board and currently, with the Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment Group.
