Woman charged in weekend stabbing

BRUNSWICK — A woman was out on bail Sunday evening after being arrested early that morning and charged with stabbing a 37-year-old man at Madeline Drive in Brunswick.

Nicole Hubert, 32, address unknown, was arrested at Central Maine Medical Center following the 2 a.m. stabbing. The victim, whose name was not released, was being treated Sunday for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries at the Lewiston hospital. Hubert was treated for minor injuries and then taken into custody by the Brunswick Police Department.

According to the Brunswick Police Department, Hubert was also treated at CMMC after jumping from a moving vehicle on Soper Road in Durham. Hubert and another person were taking the victim to the hospital when she jumped from the vehicle.

The third person flagged down a passer-by, who called Durham Rescue. The case was turned over to the Brunswick Police Department after it was discovered that the victim was stabbed in that town.
