This is in response to the letter, printed Jan. 21, from Harry Dwyer. Yes, it was an oversight on my part for leaving out Rep. Nancy Smith, D-Monmouth, as a forester serving in the 123rd Maine Legislature.
My apologies to Smith.
So, there are at least four foresters in the legislature – two Republicans, one Democrat and one Independent. Three are Representatives, and one is a Senator.
State Sen. Walter R. Gooley, Farmington
Editor’s Note: Sen. Gooley’s previous letter (Jan. 12) identified him as a representative. It was an editing error.
