‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’ set for Rangeley stage

RANGELEY — Rangeley Friends of the Arts will present the musical comedy “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” on March 12, 13, 14 at The Club House.

With music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, the play is based on characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schultz in his comic strip “Peanuts.”

The time of action, according to a program note, is “an average day in the life of Charlie Brown” — a day made up of little moments, from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair.

These moments are intertwined with the lives of Charlie Brown’s friends, both human and nonhuman, and strung together as a single day.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, $12 for general admission. They are available by calling the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce at 864-5364.
