ROCKLAND — The Farnsworth Art Museum will open an exhibition of works by Andrew Wyeth and Kosti Ruohomaa on Saturday, May 30.

Titled “Andy and Kosti,” the exhibition explores the friendship between Mainehe
artists Andrew Wyeth and Kosti Ruohomma.

Both Wyeth, an acclaimed painter in the realist tradition, and Ruohomaa, a
photo journalist for National Geographic and Life magazines, were
famous for their iconic depictions of Maine life and the people who
called Maine home, from farmers to fishermen.

Both men were fascinated by the relationship between Maine people and their
environment.

The exhibition, sponsored in part by Lie-Nielsen Toolworks and the Wickham Skinner Fund, will be on display through Nov. 1.
