Ice Fest volunteers get free ticket

LEWISTON — A few more volunteers are needed to assist LA Arts with the Ice Fest this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.

There are both indoor and outdoor activities, including live music, food and drink, ice sculptures and more. Volunteers get a complimentary ticket for their efforts.

UMC bean supper is Feb. 28

AUBURN — ?The monthly UMC bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Auburn United Methodist Church, at 439 Park Ave.

The menu includes baked beans, casseroles, potato salad, hot dogs, coleslaw, breads, beverage and pie. The cost is $7.

Entertainment will be provided by the Park Street Pickers. Come and invite a friend.

Supper, dance for Cheryl Estabrook

LEWISTON — A supper and dance to benefit Cheryl Estabrook will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles 618, 1327 Sabattus St.

A potluck supper, raffles and 50/50 will take place.

Music will be provided by DJs Keith and Kathy.

Bean supper at First Congregational

GRAY — A baked bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at First Congregational Church, Route 115.

The meal includes casseroles, salads, homemade breads and desserts.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

The building is handicapped accessible.

Stand Up and Be Counted Day

STATEWIDE — Stand Up and Be Counted Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.

All veterans can go to or contact their nearest veterans service organization — such as Cold War, AMVETS, VFW, VVA, American Legion and DAV — and sign up for their benefits or go online to www.va.gov.

Bean, ham supper at Lisbon church

LISBON — A home-baked bean and ham supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at United Methodist Church, 14 School St.

Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.

The meal is hosted by the Methodist Women.
