JAY — Keith Cornelio was recently nominated to be the Republican candidate for the Maine House of Representatives District 74 seat, which covers the towns of Jay, Livermore Falls and part of Livermore.
He will replace Mary Howes on the November ballot.
Cornelio spent 44 years working at the Androscoggin Mill, where he served as the president of Local 247 of the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers Union before retiring as power plant team leader in 2011.
He serves as a selectman for Jay, where he and his wife, Shirley, have lived for the past 50 years and raised their five daughters. They are members of Wayside Bible Baptist Church.
“I have entered this legislative race to represent the people of House District 74,” Cornelio said. “I want to make sure their voices are heard in Augusta.”
