FRYEBURG — The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center presents the second Bradley Backstage concert, featuring the Amarantos Quartet, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27. The innovative Portland-based string quartet presents classical music like you’ve never heard it before in the LHE/PAC’s alternative backstage performance space.

Through presentation of new music, unique collaborations and original arrangements violinists Lauren Hastings Genova and Meagan McIntyre, violist/arranger Bryan Brash, and cellist Hannah Schroeder and attracting new, diverse audiences to the chamber music genre.

Classically trained, each member of the quartet has also performed extensively with musicians from a wide variety of styles such as jazz, rock, pop, folk, Middle Eastern, alternative, and world music. These collective experiences are the basis for what makes the Amarantos Quartet and its diverse repertoire a unique experience. From Mozart to Radiohead, each Amarantos Quartet performance takes the listener on a new listening experience.
