BATH —  The Chocolate Church Arts Center announces the return of Americana songwriters Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish, collectively known as The Honey Dewdrops, at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, June 12.

Tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door and are available at www.chocolatechurcharts.org or by calling the box office 207-442-8455.

Their closeness of sound and musical compatibility is unmistakable. Their original songs shine with energy and emotion through intimate performances with a handful acoustic instruments and tightly layered harmonies.

“Touring is like collecting images of landscapes, sounds of voices, contents of stories, moods of places and environments,” says Wortman. “All of that can be useful. It tells you something about human nature, about how the world works, little by little.”

The couple tapped into their touring experiences on the road to write and record their fourth album, “Tangled Country.”The musicians share vocals and guitars, augmented by Parrish’s mandolin and Wortman’s work on banjo and harmonica.

The Chocolate Church is located at 804 Washington St.
