SOUTH PORTLAND — Mad Horse Theatre Company will close its 29th Season with the Pulitzer Prize finalist play “Other Desert Cities” by John Robin Baitz.

Brooke Wyeth returns home to her affluent Palm Springs family home after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas with her parents, brother and aunt. She announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the family’s history — a wound they don’t want reopened.

The production will run April 30 through May 17 at the Theater, 24 Mosher St., South Portland.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoons. There will be an opening night reception following the Friday, May 1, performance.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Every Thursday performance is pay-what-you-can night.
