I have to agree with your editorial of Jan. 9. I cannot believe that Mayor Larry Raymond isn’t going to stay in Lewiston and show his support, especially since he opened up this can of worms.
I understand his vacation plans were made far in advance but, since he brought all of this hate and bickering to Lewiston, he should stay and show support for his city.
It’s pretty bad that leaders from other cities are coming to show their support for us and our own mayor won’t be there. Hopefully the citizens of Lewiston will remember this come election time.
There is so much hate in the world as it is. Let us all join together and show them that the Lewiston area and Maine, for that matter, won’t be a part of it.
